Beyond the Edge of the World is a sixteen-track concept album tracing the voyage of a 17th-century ship captain and his crew into uncharted waters, and into the unknown that waits there. Drawing on the mythology of sea monsters, sirens, and the psychological weight of venturing beyond the edges of the known world, the album follows its narrative from open ocean to fog-shrouded abyss, leaving the boundary between madness and reality deliberately unresolved.
Sonically, the record shares the drone and noise foundations of earlier work while expanding into darker melodic territory. Haunting sequences, digital piano, and string-like textures are woven through layers of manipulated distortion and subtle glitched rhythm. Beats constructed not from conventional percussion but from noise chopped, limited, and looped into something percussive and unsettling. Produced entirely in Bitwig Studio using Hive, Harmony Bloom, and extensive effects processing, many sounds were recorded, manipulated, and re-recorded to push them further from their origins. The result is an immersive, cinematic listen.
